My Pub Menu, or, Confessions of a Living Room/Kitchen Hybrid

Posted by

So, I am having my kitchen redone. And it will be glorious. And many dishes that will be featured on Dining Mosaic will be made in that kitchen. But for the time being, I have to keep my meals simple and to the point. I am sure that you can all relate.

But it is difficult! Because a part of me just wants the kitchen to be done and the other part of me wants it to take as long as possible so that it could compete with the kitchens at Buckingham Palace or something.

Actually, I am quite confident that the quality of cooking coming out of that kitchen will be up to par with what comes out of Buckingham Palace kitchens.

Why? Well, because I have it on good information that the Queen eats healthy. But what is Her Majesty to do when her kitchen is under construction? Well, she has to eat sandwiches and savouries just like the rest of us.

So, I have prompted the purveyors, I have belled the butcher, I binged the baker, and I even clicked the cake maker (???!). I am designing the best recipes that can be made in a kitchen that is under construction. Or, should I say, cooked in a living room beside a kitchen that is under construction. Did I just confess that I have to have a temporary kitchen in my front room? Oh well, it is what it is. Just don’t be offended if I don’t invite you over for dinner during the next few weeks as the construction progresses.

So here they are, the recipes that I plan to make over the next few weeks. They are not difficult, and they actually have the same amazing taste that you have (hopefully) come to expect from the Dining Mosaic table.

Over the next few weeks, you will see recipes for each of these items, and I invite you to contact me at diningmosaic@gmail.com with any suggestions, recommendations, or comments.
